At ATX Mini Aussies, our primary goal is to produce healthy, well-tempered companions. We utilize advanced genetic screening through laboratories such as Paw Print Genetics and Neogen SCanine to ensure our breeding dogs are cleared for hereditary conditions common to the breed.
Bio-Security & Home Visit Policy
To ensure the safety of our puppies and our family, we do not offer home visits.
- Puppy Health: Young puppies have developing immune systems. Restricting visitors prevents the accidental introduction of life-threatening pathogens like Parvo or Distemper into our nursery environment.
- Safety: This policy also ensures the privacy and safety of our household.
- Transparency: We provide regular photos, videos, and FaceTime calls so you can see your puppy’s growth and environment in real-time.
Reservation Deposits
Securing a puppy requires a formal deposit.
- Non-Refundable: All deposits are non-refundable, as they represent a commitment to a puppy and prevent other families from inquiring about that specific dog.
- Transferable: If your circumstances change, your deposit is transferable to a future litter within one calendar year from the date of the original deposit.
Ownership & Breeding Rights
All puppies are sold on a Strict Pet-Only Contract unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
- Spay/Neuter: Buyers agree to spay or neuter their puppy by a specific age (typically 12 months) as outlined in the sales contract.
- Breeding Rights Fee: Breeding rights are not included by default. If breeding rights are discussed and approved previously, an additional fee of $500 will apply.
- Unauthorized Breeding: Breeding a dog sold on a pet-only contract is a breach of contract and may result in legal action or the repossession of the dog.
Size, Weight, and Appearance Expectations
While we strive for consistency, nature is unpredictable.
- No Guarantees: We do not make any guarantees regarding a puppy’s adult size, weight, eye color, or coat pattern.
- Estimates: We provide our "best guess" based on the parents' history and current growth charts, but these are estimates only.
Right of First Refusal (Return Policy)
We never want our dogs to end up in a shelter or rescue.
- If at any point during the dog's life you are unable to keep them, the dog must be returned to ATX Mini Aussies.
- No refund will be issued for returned dogs, but we will ensure they are placed in a loving, vetted forever home.
Pick-Up and Shipping
- Pick-Up: Puppies are typically ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age.
- Late Pick-Up: If a puppy is not picked up within 7 days of the ready-date, a daily boarding fee may apply unless prior arrangements are made.
